Newport Cooks! Modern Pressure Cooking

Pressure cooking is no longer the scary, steam shooting, gauge rattling experience it used to be!  Locking in every ounce of flavor & all of the important nutrients and cutting cook times in half are the great benefits of pressure cooking. Chef Richard Allaire will demystify the latest pressure cooking technology as he teaches us to prepare a number of quick and delicious recipes that he’s carefully experimented with, and perhaps you’ve even tried on the menu at Tucker’s Bistro.  Pan Handlers on Broadway in Newport, our local resource for fine cookware & knives, will have a number of pressure cookers on hand to inspect the night of class.  We’ll also taste wines chosen by Newport Wine Cellar to compliment Chef Allaire’s menu.
