Take part in the inaugural 4.2 mile Citizens Bank Newport Pell Bridge Run to benefit Operation Stand Down Rhode Island, Meeting Street, Special Olympics Rhode Island, and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center. This will be the first time pedestrians have been allowed on the Newport Pell Bridge in decades.
Runners will be shuttled from the Newport Convention & Visitors Bureau between 4:30 and 6:30 a.m. to the base of the bridge on the Jamestown side where the race will begin. The course will go over over the bridge, down Farewell Street to Thames Street and finish in Washington Square at Citizens Bank.
Registration is $50 by November 8.
