Beginning Sept 16th
For those who think Italians talk with their hands—there will be some of that. Don’t all cultures have gestures that express quieter than voice?
We thought of calling this “Basic” Italian—there will be some of that; but, basic is so basic and getting participants to learn on their own, with or without the internet, will happen.
“Conversational” Italian—sure, but why restrict ourselves to yak yak yak when we could be exploring culture, and reading literature as well?
We’ll give attention to necessary categories of words, grammar, and some lists that will require memorizing. No tests, but you’ll be given techniques to continue learning.
“Cultural” Italian sounds a tad uppity but a great venue for miscellany: opera, food, travel, etc. There will be some of that as well.
And, rounding out the menu will be fun: learning something new or learning something in a structure that keeps the demons of age at a proper distance; and, if they don’t stay away, we have a gesture for that as well!!!
Drawing and Painting:
Join Jeannine Bestoso as you learn the basics of drawing and painting. With a two hour lesson offered Monday’s at 10:30am, you will be sure to pick up some new styles as well as perfect those which you already know.
