Fort Adams to Host Newport Chowder Festival This Year
If you were worried that there would be no chowder festival this year, fear not.

Chowder lovers are celebrating upon news that one of the longest running chowder festivals — the Great Chowder Cook-Off — will carry on this year.
There were concerns that the festival would not happen this year after the closure of its former venue, the Newport Yachting Center, last year.
But Newport Waterfront Events announced this week that the festival will be held June 6 from noon to 6 p.m. at Fort Adams State Park.
