Free Certified Nursing Assistant Training for RI Residents
East Bay Community Action Program to Hold Mandatory Information Sessions for Those Interested in Applying

East Bay Skills Alliance (EBSA), a program of East Bay Community Action Program, will hold a Healthcare Certified Nursing Assistant job skills training program for Rhode Island residents beginning May 21, 2018. Those who are interested in participating must attend one information and testing session, which will be offered on the following two dates: Tuesday, May 15th, from 9:00 AM to noon and Thursday, May 17th, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, at Literacy Volunteers of East Bay, 17 Croade St., Warren, RI. Applications for the program will be distributed at the end of each information session.
The healthcare training will consist of 5 weeks of work readiness/soft skills, resume & interviewing preparation and 10 weeks of certified nursing assistant instruction (afternoon class). A 120 day temporary license will be issued after successful completion of CNA training. Classes will meet for five and a half hours per day, five days per week, Monday through Friday. Eligible applicants must be at least 18 years of age and a RI resident. The only cost to students is $5 for BCI during enrollment.
