Free Money for Higher Education at the Newport Public Library

NEWPORT, RI— The Newport Public Library, 300 Spring Street, Newport, will be hosting Free Money for Higher Education on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 6:00-7:00 PM in the library’s Program Room.

Bill Bianchi of the Rhode Island Student Loan Authority (RISLA) will guide participants through an in-depth look at the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process, federal and state education grants, and how to successfully apply and win for scholarships.

This program is open to students and parents. No registration is required.

The Rhode Island Student Loan Authority (RISLA) is a non-profit quasi-state authority which has been providing affordable higher education solutions since 1981. RISLA offers low cost state-based education loans, free admissions and financial aid assistance through the College Planning Center of Rhode Island, a free internship finder through bRIdge.jobs and financial literacy guidance at high schools and colleges throughout the State of Rhode Island.
