This weekend's calendar allows you to continue the St. Patrick's Day celebration as well as learn about one of Newport's other hallmarks, sailing.
Where/When: on Friday, Mar. 18 at 6 p.m.
Why Go: Teach your pup (5+ months) how to do the Irish Jig in this agility class that is just as fun for the owners as it is for the dogs.- Pricing: $10; Pre-registration required.
Where/When: on Saturday, Mar. 19 at 9:30 a.m.
Why Go: Meet at the for danishes and coffee at 9:30 a.m. before the bus tour of Irish Newport, sponsored by Viking Tours and the Museum of Newport Irish Company, heads out at 10 a.m. for a lesson on Newport’s Irish heritage.
Pricing: Free, but donations are accepted. Reservations required.
Where/When: on Saturday, Mar. 19 at 6 p.m.
Why Go: A full corned beef and cabbage dinner served up by Peter Vallaincourt will be offered following Saturday evening Mass. Open to all.

Why Go: Enjoy a three course dinner and sunset views over Newport Harbor to benefit the Environmental Education programs.

Where/When: Seaman’s Church Institute on Sunday, Mar. 20 from 4 to 6 p.m.
Why Go: Join local co-authors of “The Twelve Metre Class”, Dyer Jones and Jan Slee, for a discussion on twelve metre yachts that will include topics ranging from the 104 year history of the class, the Olympics and the America’s Cup and it’s revival.
