How About Outdoor Yoga at King Park?

The Newport Recreation Department is offering Wednesday evening classes led by experienced instructor Coleen Curran.

NEWPORT, RI—The city's recreation department is offering outdoor yoga classes led by an experienced instructor in the pleasant setting of King Park.

Classes begin July 13 and will be held near the gazebo in King Park from 6 to 7 p.m. Coleen Curran will lead the classes with her practice of mindful breath work with body awareness and conscious movement.

People with beginner to advanced experience are welcome to attend. Some mats will be available and the first class is free. After, it's just a $5 drop-in fee.

The classes will run for six weeks.

Curran is a certified instructor with RYT 200 designation. She has taught for more than a decade in North Carolina and the recreation department said that the city is fortunate to have her here.
