Who knew that it would take the efforts of every ethnic group known to Newport to bring the Christopher Columbus Statue and its ensuing parade to the wonderful City of Newport on such a gorgeous weekend. Â
After 60 years of standing so regally on Memorial Boulevard the Festa Italiana Committee celebrated this auspicious anniversary of erecting the Columbus statue with members of our sister city of Imperia, Italy and a host of local of partners who make the parade such a special event.
With such a gorgeous day for marching and enjoying the sites of Newport, the Edward King House was well represented both on and off the parade route.
In the event you could not join us, enjoy this photo journal.
Buona Festa!!!
