Laura van den Berg will be reading from her new collection of stories on Thursday, January 30 at 6 pm at Salve Regina's State Dining Room, Ochre Court. This event is free and open to the public.
Raised in Florida, Laura van den Berg earned her M.F.A. from Emerson College. Her first collection of stories, "What the World Will Look Like When All the Water Leaves Us," was a Barnes & Noble "Discover Great New Writers" selection, longlisted for The Story Prize and shortlisted for the Frank O’Connor International Award. Her second collection of stories, "The Isle of Youth," was published in November 2013 and appeared on more than a dozen "Best of 2013" book lists.
