IYRS Unveils new Web Site
With a new name and recent growth, the IYRS School of Technology & Trades has launched a new Web site nine-months in the marking.

IYRS School of Technology and Trades has unveiled a “dramatically redesigned” Web site that “presenting users with an improved user-experience through a multitude of new features including high-quality imagery and content; high definition video; a digital IYRS story wall; and responsive design.”
In a statement, Josh Singer, Digital Marketing Manager at IYRS said “With recent growth of the institution expected to continue in the coming years, we felt the time was right to upgrade and enhance our digital presence.”
The new Web site knows when someone is visiting from a smartphone, tablet or desktop computer and is ready to offer high quality video, a digital IYRS story wall, information on programs offered at the post-secondary education institution and “to help prospective students and their families better understand the IYRS approach to career training and how an IYRS program may align with students’ career and education goals,” Singer said.

The new website presents users with a wealth of new information about programs offered at IYRS as well as the career preparation and job stats and outlook of each program; Composites Technology, Marine Systems and Boatbuilding & Restoration. Additionally, IYRS is introducing an impressive IYRS Stories site feature, which presents over forty stories in an interactive digital fashion. Stories range from alumni achievements and career paths, to the story of the historic Coronet restoration on the IYRS campus, to IYRS’ collaborations with Harvard and MIT, to the Underground Cannon Club in Newport, RI.
The project, which took nine months from beginning concept to finished product, comes on the heels of new branding efforts IYRS has put forth including a name change from International Yacht Restoration School to IYRS School of Technology & Trades, along with the introduction of the new trademarked tagline, Make Anything Possible™.

“We believe that this website redesign project has elevated our digital presence to a level that is on par with some of the best higher education websites in the entire country,” said Josh Singer. “The site strengthens our brand and will help us reach new audiences who may see IYRS as the perfect next step for them in their career path.”
