JFK's Newport Wedding Photos Auctioned for $34K

The collection of never-before seen photos belong to photographer Frank Ataman.

A collection of never-before-seen photos from John F. Kennedy’s Newport wedding sold for $34,000 at an auction this week.

The 13 photos were taken by Frank Ataman, a backup photographer at the wedding. The photos were discovered in his darkroom after he died.

The wedding happened at St. Mary’s Church on Sept. 12, 1953.
