Man Beats Ford Taurus with Crowbar

A Pawtucket man upset with a woman who ordered him out of her car took out his frustrations with a crowbar.

Police charged Chester Robert Carter, 32, of 26 Pine St., Pawtucket, with domestic vandalism Tuesday afternoon after he allegedly took a tire iron to a Ford Taurus after an argument.

Police said they got a report of a man striking a woman’s car with a tire iron in the area of 191 Park Holm at around 2:30 P.M.

Police arrived and found Carter outside arguing with a woman next to the car, which showed signs of recent damage.

Police observed damage to the right rear brake light cover, the side view mirror on the driver’s side and a dent in the ood.

Police took Carter into custody without incident. They noted it was his third domestic offense.
