Marc Allen to Host Child & Family Holiday Shopping Event

Marc Allen Fine Clothiers, located at 142 Bellevue Avenue, will host a holiday shopping event to benefit local non-profit, Child and Family. The shop, which opened its doors for business in April, has quickly become the top shop for exclusive luxury brands and custom-made men’s clothes in Newport.

From November 17-21, 25 percent from every sale will be donated to Child and Family as part of the shop’s ongoing commitment to the community. “Child and Family is very near and dear to my heart,” said Marc Streisand, owner, Marc Allen Fine Clothiers. “As the father of two children, I have a keen interest in trying to make a difference in the lives of local kids, especially those who are underserved.”

Streisand was also co-chair of Au Courant this summer, an annual fashion event to benefit Child and Family. The event promotes the creative talents of the finest designers in the Northeast through a runway show, cocktail party and designer shopping event.

The Marc Allen Newport store will be open Tuesday – Friday from 10 am..–6 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m.–4 p.m. During the Child and Family shopping event, the shop will serve specialty drinks and snacks to put shoppers in the holiday spirit.

Marc Allen offers clients a full-range of custom clothing, including hand-made bespoke, made-to-measure formal wear, suits, sport coats, trousers and shirts. Appointments are offered in-store, in office, or in-home depending on a client’s needs. Marc Allen also offers tailoring for outside purchases and transportation to the showroom if necessary.
