March Newport Gallery Night
March Newport Gallery Night is hosting a large variety of new exhibitions including ceramics at DeBlois and Spring Bull Gallery.

Are you suffering from the end of winter blues? Take your mind off of the chilly weather and enjoy the wonderful new art exhibitions at March Newport Gallery Night from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday March 12, 2015. Newport Gallery Night is the best way to get your feet wet in the Newport Gallery scene and discover your love for art.
This month, Spring Bull Gallery and DeBlois Gallery will be hosting an invitational exhibit, “Honoring the Ceramic Tradition”. They will be putting a spotlight on ceramics and local artists (including Lee Segal and Valorie Sheehan at DeBlois) as part of the 49th annual convention of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) by showing a collection of works honoring the ceramic tradition in clay and on canvas and paper. In addition to Spring Bull’s show, the Newport Art Museum will be holding a gallery talk with Deborah Baronas at 5:30pm. Her exhibition, Flowers in the Factory, is a must-see and will be on display until May 17th. Baronas works with textiles as her main medium and interprets photographs of factory workers by layering drawings, paintings, printed fabrics and three-dimensional objects. Make sure to stop in to hear her talk about her fabulous exhibition! While you’re out, stop by C.L. Sherman’s Gallery to shop new floor cloths, table runners and easily worn and transported hat fascinators as part of their March gallery offerings!
End the evening at one of the 16 participating restaurants and use the special Newport Gallery Night restaurant discount coupon.
