Metered parking is now in effect on Narragansett Ave. from Ochre Point Avenue east to the Forty Steps from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. daily.

That includes weekends and holidays.

The fee is $1.25 per hour and there’s a four-hour limit.

There is no parking at any time on either side of Narragansett Avenue from Bellevue Avenue eastward to Ochre Point Avenue.

A pay by plate multi-space meter is next to the restrooms at Forty Steps. Follow the prompts, enter your license plate number and indicate how long you plan to park. You can pay with a credit card or cash.

You don’t need to put your receipt on your car.

Metered parking through the city runs until Oct. 31.
