At Naval War College, Sailors help Sailors with "Caring and Sharing" Program
The program since the 1990s has helped Navy families in need enjoy a traditional holiday feast.

With all the fixings for a traditional holiday meal, The U.S. Navy’s Caring and Sharing program has been a lifesaver-in-a-box for Sailors and their families during the holiday season.
The program, launched in the 1990s, offers Sailors and their families in need of assistance with everything they need to put on a Thanksgiving or Christmas meal.
Best of all, the program is an example of shipmates helping shipmates. The donations are collected throughout November by fellow sailors. And come holiday time, Navy families that can’t afford a full blown holiday feast get a lending hand and share in the spirit of giving.
