Newport Bridge Lane Closure Schedule July 8 to 12
Here's when to expect lane closures on the Newport Bridge this week.
NEWPORT, RI — Phase One of this summer's construction on the Newport Pell Bridge is still underway. Here's when you can expect lane closures this week.
The left lane will be closed on the westbound side of the bridge from 7:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday. The right lane of the eastbound side will be closed, too, on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
The open road tolling booths will be closed on both sides of the bridge on Wednesday: from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the westbound side and from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

On Thursday, the right lane will be closed on the eastbound side from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.
Throughout the week, the right lane will be closed on the westbound side during overnight hours. The lane will close at 7 p.m. and reopen at 5 a.m.
