In Newport, Columbus Day is a Day to Learn About Bats
There are thousands of species of bats in the world and there's a few that live in Ballard Park in Newport. For ages 7 to 12.
On Columbus Day, Friends of Ballard Park is hosting an Afternoon Adventure program that is all about bats.
There are over 1,000 species of bats in the world. Participants will learn about the bats that live in Ballard Park and discover why they are beneficial to the environment. Ages 7 to 12 years old.
Fee is $5 per child. Hazard Road entrance. Email education@ballardpark.org or call 401.619.3377 to register.
