Newport Delays July Water Bills Until End Of August

The delay was caused by vendor technical issues impacting the ability to issue monthly statements.

NEWPORT, RI — Town officials said Newport Water Division customers should expect a delay in receiving their July utility bills.

The delay was caused by vendor technical issues impacting the ability to issue monthly statements. Because of the delay, July utility bills will be due Aug. 31. The late payment penalty date will also be extended for affected billing cycles.

The Newport Water Division’s software vendor is currently addressing the matter and a resolution is expected soon, town officials said.
