Newport Historical Society Announces Annual Meeting

The Newport Historical Society Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 4 p.m. in the Colony House.

The Society’s staff will focus on the innovations that made 2013 successful. Ruth Taylor, Executive Director, will also speak about the year ahead.

A PechaKucha, which is a Japanese presentation style, will be used to document the Society’s plans. At 6 minutes and 40 seconds in total, this style keeps presentations lively and fast-paced. There are 20 slides and each slide is shown for 20 seconds.

This behind-the-scenes glimpse into daily operations will allow the public to become more familiar with the important work being done to preserve Newport’s rich and unique history.
