Newport Hospital seeks volunteers

Information session will be held Sept. 11

NEWPORT, R.I. – Looking for a rewarding way to lend a helping hand? Newport Hospital is recruiting volunteers to share their talents in a variety of positions.

At an information session from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 11, potential volunteers will learn how they can help.

For example, you could assist recreational therapy staff in activities with patients during their hospital stay. Other helpers provide relaxing hand massage and Reiki, assist patients in registering for MyLifespan, the online patient portal, and serve as greeters.
