Newport Parking Ban Ends at Noon, Trash Pickup Delayed
The city extended the ban to give crews more time to clear streets.

When will the parking ban in Newport finally end?
Noon Wednesday.
The ban was extended to noon to give the city more time to conduct plowing and clearing operations after nearly two feet of snow fell on the City-by-the-Sea.

At the same time, city offices will have a delayed opening as well. Offices will be opening at around noon.
Trash and recycling service has similarly been delayed thanks to the storm.

Tuesday routes will be picked up on Thursday, Wednesday routes will be picked up on Friday and Thursday and Friday routes will be picked up on Saturday.
Be sure to clear an area for your bins and don’t let them block the street.
