Newport Police Holding Self-Defense Classes For Women
The Newport Police Department is holding a series of free self-defense classes for women.
NEWPORT, RI — The Newport Police Department is hosting a series of self-defense classes for women. The free classes will be held at the Newport Recreation Department on Golden Hill Street over the course of three weeks.
The classes will be held on the following dates:
- April 30 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- May 3 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
- May 7 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
To take part in the class, participants must agree to come to all three classes. There is no charge and participants should wear gym clothes.
