NEWPORT, RI — The Newport Police Department is selling police patches in honor of Pride Month to benefit the LGBTQ community.

The patches are $14, and proceeds will go directly to Newport Pride.

The police patches coincide with pride events happening in the city. At 5 p.m., Friday, city officials will raise the pride flag at Newport City Hall. Newport Pride Weekend is June 24, 25 and 26.
