Newport Restaurant Week Returns
Newport Restaurant Week, which features more than 40 restaurants, will return at the end of the month.

is back this spring with more than 40 participating restaurants between March 25 and April 3. Aside from meal bargains, restaurant week will include food and wine pairings, a Samuel Adams beer dinner, culinary tours of Newport and lodging packages.
“This is a really great opportunity for us to showcase our menu and food,” said Chef Rizwan Ahmed of Hourglass Brasserie in Bristol. Ahmed said he is excited that people will be able to enjoy his French bistro for this first time since their opening this fall. Newport Restaurant Week serves to “attract new clientele” and allow diners to sample the new seasonal menus. Vegetarian and gluten-free meals are also offered during the week of specials.
“It’s a great way to get people to come who haven’t been here before,” Tucker Harris, owner of in Newport, said. “Our chef, Richard Allaire, creates a really nice menu at a really nice price.”
