Resident impacts are expected to be minimal, as Newport police said that "access to all properties will be maintained throughout construction."
All resurfaced roads will be swept immediately after work is completed and then again several weeks later to cut down on the amount of loose paving material.

Road work is scheduled to last two weeks, though it is weather dependent because the asphalt rubber material is very sensitive to moisture. The project will be delayed if it rains. To keep the road surface dry, anyone who lives in the area is asked to not water their lawn while construction is underway in their neighborhood.
During the work week, drivers are asked not to park on the roads from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to allow crews to work on the entire road surface. Drivers can park on the new road surface as soon as construction is complete.
