Newport Storm Luau to Benefit Fort Adams is Aug. 16
The 16th Annual Newport Storm Luau to benefit the Fort Adams Trust will be held at Fort Adams State Park on Saturday, Aug. 16.

It’s time to wish happy sweet 16 to the Newport Storm Luau to Benefit the Fort Adams Trust, which is slated for Saturday, Aug. 16 and will feature past favorite acts along with newcomers, like The Rare Occasions, winner of the 2014 WBRU 95.5 Rock Hunt contest.
Luau veterans can also welcome back Napua O’Polynesia Polynesian dancers, and The Fire Gypsy who will mesmerize after sunset.
Newport Storm Brewery & Thomas Tew Rum Distillery are partnering with the Fort for the 8th year in a row to add to the $75,000+ they‟ve raised for the Fort Adams Trust since their partnership began. They‟ll be providing plenty of varieties of Newport Storm Beer and Thomas Tew Rum cocktails to pair with tasty treats from local food vendors.

Other sponsors include Motif Magazine, JFA Security, Eastern Ice, Barritts Ginger Beer, Soft Drink Sponsor Walgreens and Stagecraft Audio!
The luau is also tapping into high-tech, with partner Uber to make rides to and from easier and Eventstagram, which offers attendees the chance to get their selfies in a Tiki photo booth on the big screen.

There will be vendors, too, like Newport Jerky, Island Outfitters, K & T Jewelry and Guy and Lady Barrel infused cigars (to name a few!
“The mix of our new bands and returning luau-themed performers will bring guests a totally different experience than they could imagine within the Fort walls” said Event Director Taylor Butzbach.
Tickets are on sale now for $10 in advance and $20 at the door.
All proceeds go to the Fort Adams Trust.
