Newport's Bellevue Avenue Closing For Road Construction
Bellevue Avenue will be closed at Prospect Hill Street for roadwork from June 11 to June 13.
NEWPORT, RI — The northbound lane of Newport's iconic Bellevue Avenue will close to traffic for several days this week as crews work to repair the concrete road. Traffic will be affected from Tuesday through Thursday, with all lanes officially reopening at 7 a.m. on Friday.
During construction, crews will finish a repairs from a previous National Grid project that required removing three concrete panels from the road. The panels will be repoured to complete repairs. Police officers will be in the area to help direct traffic.
Southbound lanes will not be affected by the construction.
