Nobody was hurt in a fire that damaged a Halsey Street home in Newport on Friday night.
The American Red Cross is helping two people who were displaced by the fire, which apparently started in the kitchen on the first floor, according to the Newport Fire Department.
Four people were inside the house when the fire broke out but everyone managed to get out safely, WPRI reported.
