
The Newport Public Education Foundation is pleased to announce that it is currently accepting Request For Proposals for its Community Grants Program.Â
NPEF will award 1 grants at $2,500 and additional grants for a total disbursement of $5,000. These grants will be awarded to local agencies and/or individuals whose grant request will directly benefit Newport Public School students.Â
These grant proposals should be used to enhance educational opportunities for Newport Public School students and support the curriculum as approved by the Newport School Committee. Any proposal should be done in coordination with a Newport Public School teacher and/or Principal and must have the approval of the Principal of the building(s) where the students will benefit.Â

 Applications are due by 3pm on November 13, 2013 and money will be awarded in December. Any questions/clarifications may be directed via email to the Grants Committee at grants@npef-ri.org.

The Newport Public Education Foundation, Inc. (NPEF) is a volunteer non-profit (EIN: 22-3137794) organization dedicated to the students of Newport Public Schools. Our mission is to support all children in our public schools by raising money and funding programs within the school that are not otherwise funded through the school budget. Every year we award an average of $20,000 in grants to classroom teachers and community groups to provide innovative educational experiences to the children of Newport.
