Obituary: Margaret L. Victor, 94

Margaret L. (Mohr) Victor, 94, of Newport, RI passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Southington, CT on May 15, 1920 she was the daughter of the late William and Nellie (Welsh) Mohr and a Newport resident since 1939. She was the wife of the late Edward G. Victor.

Margaret worked in the offices of Thompson Junior High School in Newport, RI for a number of years. Her hobbies included knitting sweaters of all kinds for her family and friends and reading.

She is survived by her daughter, Ann Moseff and her husband Dennis of Indian Land, South Carolina, her son Robert Victor and his wife, Barbara of Portsmouth, 2 grandchildren, Robert Moseff and his spouse Laura of Bolton, MA, and Karyn Almeida and her spouse Oscar of Austin, TX and two great grandchildren Piper Lily Almeida and Audrey Moseff.

Visiting hours will be held from 3-6 pm on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at the O’Neill-Hayes Funeral Home, 465 Spring Street, Newport, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Monday October 27 at St. Joseph’s Church, corner of Broadway and Mann Avenue, in Newport. Burial will follow at Newport Memorial Park in Middletown, RI. Donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to St. Joseph’s Church, 5 Mann Avenue, Newport, RI 02840.
