Obituary: Sara Rose Gonsalves, 66

Sara Rose Gonsalves, 66, of Newport died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Heatherwood Nursing and Subacute Center of Newport, RI.

She was the wife of Billy Gonsalves, Sr.

Born on May 8, 1949 in Newport, RI she was the daughter of the late Bill and Jane (Hart) Clinton.

She loved cooking for her 7 grand kids, loved music and hanging out with her many girlfriends.

Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her sons, Billy Gonsalves and his wife Mary Lynn of South Kingstown, RI, and Mark Gonsalves of Newport, RI and her grandchildren, Mark Gonsalves, Marcus Gonsalves, Khayla Gonsalves, Jhamal Gonsalves, Olivia Gonsalves, Paulie Gonsalves, James Gonsalves, and Ashlea Porche.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday August 13, 2015 from 5-7pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.

A memorial service will follow at 7 pm in the funeral home.

Burial will be private.
