Parents -- Sign Your Youngin' Up for a Summer Sport Camp

From Newport’s Recreation Department:

The Newport Recreation Department is offering several different sports camps this summer.

A volleyball camp for boys and girls entering grades 6-12 will be held at The Hut from July 6th-9th. The camp will focus on skill development and game play. Each day runs from 9:00 am-noon. The cost is $50 for Newport residents and $60 for non-residents.

UK Soccer Camp will run the week of July 13-17 at the Rogers High School soccer field. Boys and girls ages 4-6 will play 5:00-6:30 pm and boys and girls ages 7-14 will play 5:00-8:00 pm. All participants will receive a camp tshirt and ball. The cost for the 4-6 year olds is $85 per child and $125 for the 7-14 year olds.

Three different weeks of tennis camps will be offered this summer. All camps run Monday through Thursday at the Vernon Park tennis courts. Ages 6-10 can register for July 6th-9th or Aug. 3rd -6th. Ages 11-17 can register for July 20th-23rd. All of the camps run from 9:00 am – noon at a cost of $113 for Newport residents and $123 for non-residents.
