Photo Gallery: Land Trust Seeks Art Judges to Click the Like Button and Help with Children's Contest

More than 185 young artists entered the contest. The Aquidneck Land Trust seeks the public's help choosing the winners.

NEWPORT, RI — More than 185 children entered the Aquidneck Land Trust's art contest. Now, the judges need everybody's help picking the winners.

All the entries are posted on the Land Trust's Facebook page, and here are the links to each category:

Grade 9-12

There will be a total of three student winners -- one for each category: Kindergarten through Grade 4; Grade 5 through Grade 8: and Grade 9 through Grade 12. Each student winner will receive a $300 prize. In addition to the student winners a prize of $550 will be awarded to the Art Department who submits the greatest number of entries.

To vote, just click the Like button for the best picture.

One vote per category is allowed. The student with the most “likes” in a category will win in that category.

"View them on our Facebook page; you are sure to be inspired by these creative students on Aquidneck Island,” “Thanks to Sixteen on Center for sponsoring the contest once again this year.”

The contest was created to promote the importance and value of a healthy environment to the youth on Aquidneck Island, he indicated.
