Police Log: Disorderly, Underage Alcohol Possession, Warrants

DISORDERLY
Police charged Rolando Lopez, 30, of 20 Freebody St., Newport, with disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice Monday at 1:12 a.m.

Police said Lopez was seen punching and throwing a bottle at another man during an altercation near the wave statue on America’s Cup Boulevard.

UNDERAGE
Police charged Matthew J. Adams, 20, of 72 Triangle Circle, Sandwich, Mass., with underage possession of alcohol Sunday at 12:41 p.m.

Police said Adams was among a group of people at a house party on Berkeley Avenue and police found beer in his backpack.

WARRANTS
Police charged Victor Lorenzo Lambert, 40, of no permanent address, Newport, with a warrant Sunday at 4:30 p.m.

Police said the warrant was failing to appear for an ability to pay hearing in connection with a vandalism charge.

Police charged Cesar Melgar, 25, of 18 meeting St., Newport, with a warrant Monday at 1:12 am.

Police swaid Melgar was wanted for failing to appear on a driving with a suspended license charge.
