Providence Singers presents Mass and Magnificat

Don't miss Mass and Magnificat, March 28 and 29. Performances will be held in Providence and Bristol

Join the Providence Singers on March 28 & 29 as we present a powerful choral program that is sure to enrich your musical palate. The concert will feature Antonin Dvořák’s Mass in D, full of lush harmonies and melodic imagery, Arvo Pärt’s beautiful Magnificat, and much more byFelix Mendelssohn, C.V. Stanford, Franz Biebl, and Sir John Tavener. We are delighted to feature organist Patrick Aiken.

There will be two performances: Saturday, March 28, 7:30pm at Central Congregational Church, on Angell St. on the East Side of Providence; and Sunday March 29, 3:00pm at St. Mary’s Church in Bristol. Tickets are available online at www.providencesingers.org or by phone (401-751-5700), $28 for general admission and $5 for students. Tickets will also be available at the door.

Pre-concert: Michael Galib, assistant conductor of the Singers who will conduct the Pärt in performance, will present a pre-concert talk at each concert: 6:45 p.m. on Saturday at Central Congregational Church, and 2:15 p.m. on Sunday at St. Mary’s in Bristol.

Post-concert: The Singers will host a reception immediately following each performance, all audience members are invited to meet and talk with Christine Noel, Michael Galib, Patrick Aiken, and members of the chorus.
