Recall Expanded For Baby Ibuprofen
Tris Pharma, Inc. is expanding their November 2018 recall to include three more lots of infant ibuprofen oral drops.

A New Jersey pharmaceutical company has expanded its recall of infant ibuprofen oral suspension drops sold at CVS and Walmart due to concerns of higher than reported levels of ibuprofen concentration. Tris Pharma, Inc. originally issued the recall in November 2018 but expanded it to include three additional lots.
The recalled lots include CVS and Equate brand Ibuprofen Oral Suspension Drops, USP, 50 mg per 1.25 mL. The newly-added lots include:
- CVS 0.5 oz Bottle: Lot No. 4718, NDC 59779-925-23, Expiration Date 12/19
- CVS 1.0 oz Bottle: Lot No. 00717005A, NDC 49035-125-24, Expiration Date 02/19
- Equate 1.0 oz Bottle: Lot No. 00717005A, NDC 49035-125-24, Expiration Date 02/19
Tested bottles from the recalled lot contained as much as 10 percent higher concentrations of ibuprofen than listed on the bottle.

According to a release from the company, infants who are already susceptible to adverse effects from ibuprofen could be at a higher risk if given the recalled medicine. At this time, no serious injuries have occurred.
