The following beaches were reopened on Friday afternoon:

  • Easton's Beach, Newport
  • Briar Point Beach, Coventry

Two additional beaches were closed at the same time: Roy Carpenter's Beach in South Kingstown and Yawgoog Scout Reservation in Hopkinton. Meanwhile, Conimicut Point Beach and both the upper and lower ponds at the Kent County YMCA remain closed to swimming as well.
