RhodySquash Players to Compete in Junior State Championship this Friday
Team shows complete dominance across all age groups to qualify for finals championship this Friday at Moses Brown.

For the first time RhodySquash players of the Newport YMCA participated in the state squash championship with five players moving to the state finals tournament to be held this Friday, March 6 at the Moses Brown Squash Center in Providence.
“What our juniors achieved is truly remarkable. Despite being a program less than three years old, RhodySquash juniors showed near-complete dominance across all age groups, outperforming clubs and schools that have been established for years and decades,” said Squash Director Omar el Kashef.
RhodySquash is an afterschool program for middle school children in financial need on Aquidneck Island. The program focuses on building academic and athletic skills while teaching children values and involving them in a plethora of community events and volunteering opportunities.
