RIDOT: Mild Winter Weather Boosts Construction
Thanks to the relatively mild winter, RIDOT has been able to get an early start on construction season.

Thanks to a relatively mild, snow-free winter, Rhode Island Department of Transportation construction projects have been moving along ahead of schedule. According to a release from the department, crews have been able to make progress on several projects, particularly bridge demolition.
RIDOT's construction season generally kicks off in mid-April.
"The relatively mild winter we've experienced has helped us continue moving forward on a number of our transportation projects, particularly bridge demolition. This has certainly been a welcome boost to an early start of our construction season, which typically doesn't begin until April 15," the release read.
