Salve to Host English Immersion Program Through 2014

has reached an agreement with Middlebury College to host The Monterey Institute of International Studies English immersion program here in Newport through 2014.

International students who enroll in the program will have the opportunity to complete coursework in the English language, learn the history and culture of the country and take field trips to New York and Boston.

Salve Dean Dr. Dean de la Motte said the program is consistent with the university's strategic plan and will allow the students to take advantage of Newport's "unique historical and cultural heritage."
