Search for Woman Last Seen in Newport Takes to the Streets
A night search is planned for tonight.

Friends and family of Juli Roach, 25, who was last seen in Newport on July 27, will be taking to the streets of Newport tonight with flashlights and lamps in an effort to track her down and bring her home.
“Please invite everyone you can,” her sister, Catherine Roach, said.
Catherine Roach said she has come to town in an effort to find her sister, who has made no contact with family or friends, which is out of character.

Roach is described as standing 5-feet, 5-inches tall with red hair that is in dreadlocks but might be pulled up.
She has a tattoo of an outlined elephant on her forearm and was driving a 2001 Toyota Corolla with Mass. plate no. 843-TA2 and might be carrying a large shoulder bag or smoking a cigarette, family members said.

The Fall River, Mass-native has a cell phone but it appears to be turned off as it goes straight to voicemail.
Family members said they’re worried she may be distressed and “not herself” and they were able to track her plates to Newport Hospital on July 26 but she wasn’t there anymore by the time they arrived.
Photos of Roach led searchers to a nearby shelter where they recognized her and her license but she wasn’t there anymore, either.
The search tonight begins at 7 p.m. at the Newport Police Department at 120 Broadway.
A second night search will be held on Thursday if she’s not found tonight.
