Sign-up Now for Newport Rec Department's Basketball Camp

NEWPORT, RI -- It's time to sign up for the city's fall Offensive Basketball Camp. Keith Holubesko is the instructor.

Holubesko will offer two camps. Camp 1 in basic skills -- and playing games -- is for grades 3 and 4 and for fifth-grade beginners. That session meets Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. The advanced session for experienced fifth-graders, and grades 6 and 7 meets Thursdays from 6:45 to 8 p.m. Camp 2 works on developing advanced skills through "specialized small multi-touch games."

The camp costs $20 for residents and $25 for non-residents. For more information, go to the city's website.
