State Health Department: King Park Beach & Warren Town Beach Can Open
The beaches had been closed due to high bacteria counts, but they can open again now.

NEWPORT, RI — The state Health Department on Tuesday said King Park Beach in Newport and Warren Town Beach in Warren can re-open for swimming. The beaches had been closed because of high bacteria counts. One Rhode Island beach is still impacted. Oakland Beach in Warwick remains closed.
When a beach closure is recommended, water quality analysis is conducted by RIDOH's laboratory or a state-certified laboratory. The status of a beach may change daily.
