Tennis pros visit patients at Newport Hospital
In town for International Tennis Hall of Fame tournament

NEWPORT, R.I. – Two professional tennis players took a break from competing in the 2018 Dell Technologies Hall of Fame Open at the International Tennis Hall of Fame to cheer patients at Newport Hospital Tuesday afternoon.
Jackson Withrow and Nicholas Monroe visited with patients at the Vanderbilt Rehabilitation Center’s inpatient unit and the Lifespan Cancer Institute, both located at Newport Hospital, answering questions and greeting family members and staff.
Withrow and Monroe, both fresh from Wimbledon, shared insights about their passion for the sport, playing in the Association of Tennis Professionals World Tour, their conditioning routines, their impressions of Newport, and more.

The tournament continues through July 22 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
