Travelin' Cinnamon Sticks are a favorite on chilly mornings and so easy my kids can make them themselves.

You will need several slices of bread, preferably whole wheat or multigrain, two eggs, cinnamon and maple syrup or jelly to use as a dipping sauce.

Beat the eggs in a shallow dish then sprinkle cinnamon over the top and beat that in too. Cut your bread slices into strips, I got five for each slice of bread. Soak the bread strips in the cinnamon and egg mixture.  While you are doing this heat up a pan.  You will need to lightly grease the bottom, we used cooking spray but butter tastes great too.  Drop in your bread strips and cook on medium until the sticks are golden brown.  That's it!

They make a great healthy snack when your on the move and are delicious dipped in applesauce, maple syrup or jam.
