Two Charged, Crack Cocaine Seized after Burnside Avenue Raid

Police said Wilson Devin Lamont, 23; and Tyjuan Ancel Carter, 20, were selling crack and cocaine out of the house.

Newport police arrested two men suspected of selling crack cocaine out of a Burnside Avenue house early Friday morning and seized $1,700 cash and more than 35 grams of the drug.

Newport vice squad officers along with members of the department’s Special Response Team used a mechanical ram to bust down the front door to 84 Burnside Ave. at around 6 a.m.

Once inside, they found Wilson Devin Lamont, 23, of 22 Connecticut Ave., Middletown; and Tyjuan Ancel Carter, 20, of 84 Burnside Ave. Both were asleep on couches in the living room.
