UnDecked Halls offers visitors a behind-the-scenes tour of the first floor of Rough Point, an English Manorial style mansion owned by Doris Duke. The tour provides an authentic view inside a Newport mansion in winter- shrouded and shuttered- when Miss Duke was in Hawaii. Visitors will experience the quiet house, learn about winter caretaking traditions, and get a rare glimpse into Miss Duke's tropical Hawaiian holiday. A highlight of the tour will be refreshments in the decorated staff wing, an area of the home not ordinarily open to the public.
Tours offered every half hour from 10am to 2pm on Saturdays, December 7, 14, 21 and 28 and Friday, December 27.
Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for children ages 5 to 12, and free for those under 5.
