Underwood Raises Thousands for Cancer Research
Students participated in a coin drive to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Students at raised more than $2,000 in spare change during their 17th annual Pennies for Patients fundraiser. Students raised $2,215.28 in total.
Over the past three weeks, students brought in loose change to benefit cancer patients. The Rhode Island Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society partnered with Domino's Pizza and Loomis to hold the coin drive to raise money for blood-related cancer research and patient services. The top fundraising classroom got to have a pizza party from Domino's.
Last year, 190 Rhode Island schools raised more than $247,000 patients with leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin disease, and myeloma.
